Alan Wayne Martin, 59, of Volant passed away Aug. 18, 2019, at the home of his daughter in Wilmington Township, Mercer County, following a three-and-a-half year battle with cancer.
Born in New Castle on March 8, 1960, he was a son of David Neal Martin and Carol Joyce Reynolds Martin.
Alan was a graduate of Wilmington Area High School, class of 1978.
He was a self-employed farmer.
He enjoyed tractor pulling, dairy shows and being with his grandchildren.
Alan was a member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Northwest Tractor Pulling Association and was on the board of the Farm Service Agency.
Survivors include his daughters, Kaitlin J. (Jason) McFarland of New Wilmington and Lauren N. Martin of Volant; his stepdaughter, Jessica M. (Brian) Krenke of Sayre, Pennsylvania; his mother, Carol Martin of Volant; his brothers, Blaine (Lori) Martin of Volant and Todd (Amy) Martin of Volant; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
There will be a Celebration of Life service from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 8, 2019, at 402 Martin Lane, Volant.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Smith Funeral Home, Village of Leesburg, Volant, Pa. 16156.
