Anna Mae Honaker, 83, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of Aug. 26, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Born on Nov. 22, 1933, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Ira Walker and Maude Palmer Clark. In May 1963, she married her beloved husband, Auburn Honaker, and the two of them spent over 37 years together until he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2000.
Anna attended First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed listening to gospel and country music. Anna always will be remembered as a good-hearted person who loved spending time with her family and friends.
Anna is survived by her children, Dale Honaker and Gay Honaker, both of New Castle; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ira Honaker; daughter, Laurie Honaker; sisters, Georgetta, Janet, Charlotte, Joni and Blanche; and brothers, Leroy, Sam, James and Burdel.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. Services will be conducted Friday from 11 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Chad Stoecker of First Assembly of God Church.
Interment will take place in Savannah Cemetery.
