Anna L. (Young) Taylor, 94, of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2018, at The Meadows at Osborn Park after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Anna was born on Feb. 15, 1923, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, to the late William Wesley Young and Mary Bell Keith Young.
Anna grew up along the Ohio River and graduated from Union Township High School in 1941.
She worked at the Shenango China Pottery in New Castle.
Anna married Herbert M. Taylor on April 28, 1947, and they celebrated their 70th anniversary last spring.
They moved to Sandusky in the mid 1950s for Herb's work at the Sandusky Ford Plant.
Anna is survived by her daughter, Lois Ann Eckhardt of Sandusky; sons, Michael (Paige Doster) Taylor of Sandusky, Edward Taylor of Sandusky and Herbert Taylor Jr. of Castalia, Ohio; grandchildren, Josh Armbrecht, Amy Mareco, Melanie Bauman, Mathew, Erin and Jared Taylor, and Devin, Patrick and Christopher Wingader; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Taylor Sr., in 2017; and her stepbrother, Henry Keith.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ken Hiser will officiate.
Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, Ohio.
