Antonette  Lutton


Antonette Lutton, 95, formerly of Croton Avenue, passed away on July 15, 2019, at Haven Convalescent Home.
She was born on June 13, 1924, in New Castle to the late Cesidio and Theresa DePinto Camilla.
Antonette married Louis R. Lutton Sr. on June 22, 1946. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1994.
Antonette had worked for the New Castle Area School District for 10 years as a cafeteria worker.
She was a devoted member of Holy Spirit Parish and Christian Mothers of St. Vitus Church. Antonette was also a member of Ladies of The Dukes.
Antonette enjoyed her travels to Italy and sewing. Her greatest joy was cooking and especially making pizzas on Fridays for all her neighbors and her family. When Antonette would need to get around town, she would always take the New Castle bus.
Antonette is survived by her children, Nancy Congelio and her husband, Frank, of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Ann Jones and her husband, Richard, of Warren, Pennsylvania, Lewis Lutton Jr. of New Castle, Debra Lutton Reese of New Wilmington, Diana Neely of Erie, and Donna Smith and her husband, William, of New Castle; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Antonette was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Camilla, Sam Angelo and Louis D' Angelo; and sisters, Jennie Croach and Diana Angelo.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday for a Mass of Christian burial to be held at 10 a.m. at St. Vitus Church of Holy Spirit Parish. The Rev. Brendan Dawson will officiate.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
