Casimire A. "Cash" Koszela, 72, of 817 E. Lutton St. passed away the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at his residence with his family by his side.
Cash was born Nov. 8, 1945, in New Castle. He was a son of the late William and Healy Balin Koszela.
Cash was Roman Catholic and attended St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
He was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1964. Cash continued his education receiving a masters meat cutters certificate while attending school in Wisconsin.
Cash retired after 40 years of service as a meat cutter after working for several local markets. Sausage-making was his life, for his loyal customer base throughout the years.
He was a member of SNPJ Recreation Center and a former officer of the Slovak Club.
Cash enjoyed going hunting. He enjoyed his family and friends, many of whom were his customers.
Cash is survived by his sister, Billie Ann (Thomas) Cannane of Marion, Ohio; his niece, Kim Cannane, also of Marion; and also friends, Tom and Barbara Wildauer of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, Cash was preceded in death by two brothers, Gregory Koszela and Brian Paul Koszela; and his niece, Katie M. Cannane.
Calling hours are 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St.
A Blessing service will be held at 2 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home. The Rev. Frank D. Almade, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, will officiate.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
