Charlotte J. Hogue, 84, of Edinburg passed away Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at Jameson Care Center.
Born in New Castle, Charlotte was a daughter of James David Miles and Mildred Brown Miles.
She was preceded in death on May 21, 2004, by her husband of 55 years, Robert L. Hogue Sr., whom she married on Sept. 15, 1948.
She attended New Castle High School and was a homemaker.
Among her many interests, Charlotte enjoyed bowling, taking bus trips and going to the casinos.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Patrick) Bockino of Naples, Florida; three sons, Robert L. Hogue Jr. of Edinburg, William (Kay) Hogue of Pulaski, and Raymond Hogue of Hubbard, Ohio; a sister, Mildred "Dolly" Roberts of New Castle; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Raymond Miles; and a sister, Ruth Abernathy.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.
A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Hardy of Allegheny Wesleyan College in Salem, Ohio, officiating.
Interment will be in Savannah Cemetery.
