Charlotte Pagley, 93, formerly of Lutton Street, passed away the morning of Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Rhodes Estates.
Born on April 20, 1924, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Nicola and Antoinetta Perrotta Nucci.
On June 1, 1953, she married her beloved husband, Peter M. Pagley, and the two of them spent more than 24 years together until he preceded her in death on Oct. 25. 1977.
Charlotte had worked as a sales clerk for Strouss and Kaufmann's Department Store for more than 20 years.
A devout member of St. Vitus Church, she belonged to the Christian Mothers.
Charlotte loved cooking and sewing, and she was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Charlotte's greatest joy came from being around her family.
Charlotte is survived by her son, Robert Pagley and wife, Pamela, of New Castle; grandchildren, Peter Pagley and wife, Sherri, Joseph Pagley and Christofer Pagley; great-grandson, Landon; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph M. Pagley; sisters, Jennie Scungio and Pauline Mastroddi; and brothers, James and Anthony Nucci.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vitus Church, officiated by the Rev. William Siple.
Interment will take place in St. Vitus Church.
