Christopher D. D'Ambrosia, 49, of 312 Centennial Lane, New Castle, passed away the evening of Saturday, May 12, 2018, at UMPC Jameson Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Christopher was born Aug. 18, 1968, in New Castle. He was a son of the late Anthony A. and Olive A. Vogan D'Ambrosia.
He was a graduate New Castle High School, class of 1986.
Mr. D'Ambrosia worked as a certified welder for 20 years. He recently worked at Kasgro Rail Company in New Castle.
He enjoyed playing pool with friends and video games.
Christopher was an avid fan of both the Washington Capitals and Washington Nationals.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his children and granddaughter.
Christopher is survived by four children, Autumn Michaels, Ciara D'Ambrosia, Taylor D'Ambrosia and Olivia D'Ambrosia, all of New Castle; two brothers, Anthony (Georgette) D'Ambrosia and Jeffrey D'Ambrosia, both of New Castle; two sisters, Janice L. D'Ambrosia of New Castle and Pam J. D'Ambrosia-March of Oxnard, California; granddaughter, Amariana Williams; and companion and stepson, Theresa M. Brown and James Brown, both of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Sue Ann D'Ambrosia; and nephew, Angelo D'Ambrosia.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home. The Rev. Louis LaGatta will officiate.
Burial will be at Rose Point Cemetery.
