Debra's Story

Debra Ann Williams, 62, of New Middletown, Ohio, passed away on Feb. 19, 2017, at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Born on May 15, 1954, in New Castle, Pa., Debra was the daughter of the late James and June Rhodes Fleeger. Debra married her husband Thomas Lee Williams on July 29, 1972, and she lost Tom on March 10, 2015. Debra retired from the position of Dispatcher for the Salem, Ohio, Police Department after many years of faithful service. She was a devoted member of the Columbiana Baptist Church and always carried a cheerful disposition in life. She enjoyed planning social events and loved to display her talents as a cook and baker.
She leaves behind her daughter, Susan Williams; a grand-daughter, Morgan; two brothers, James and Alan (Corrie) Fleeger; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband of 44 years.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St., in Bessemer, Pa. Services will be on Friday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at the Zion Cemetery with a meal to follow at the Columbiana Baptist Church. Pastor Jeff Jamieson will officiate.
