Diana L. Ketterer, 79, of Hermitage, formerly of New Castle, passed away peacefully at 1:06 p.m., Oct. 29, 2017, surrounded by her loving family at the Sharon Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Ketterer was born June 5, 1938, in New Castle to Andrew Conti and Margaret (Lorello) Conti.
She graduated from New Castle High School in 1956 and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Lakeside Church, where she was very active in her church families as she worked as a mission treasurer and Sunday school director for several years.
Diana loved her family dearly and couldn't do enough for them. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her grandson whom she adored.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clifford P. Ketterer, whom she married May 7, 1960, who lives at home; her daughter Lori Bungar, of Hermitage; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Ketterer of Girard, Ohio; her brothers, Jim Conti of New Castle and Andrew Conti and his wife Marion of Phoenix, Ariz.; her grandchild, Andrew Bungar of Hermitage; and several sister-in-laws and their husbands and family who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, William "Bill" Ketterer, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday (11-2-17) in JOHN FLYNN FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY Inc., 2630 E. State St., Hermitage.
Funeral service: 7 p.m. Thursday (11-2-17) in the funeral home chapel.
Burial: America's Cemetery, Hermitage.
