Dolly F. Warneck, 71, of New Castle passed away the morning of Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at her residence.
Born Aug. 13, 1946, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Francis T. and Dorothy McKee Ryder.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack A. Warneck, whom she married Aug. 2, 1965.
Dolly graduated from New Castle High School and Youngstown State University.
She was a teacher with the Mohawk Area School District for 25 years and was the school librarian for the last 10 years until her retirement. Dolly was also a retired member of the NEA, PSEA and Lawrence County PSEA.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Dolly enjoyed dancing and spending time with her grandchildren, especially watching them participate in many sporting events.
Along with her husband, Dolly is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Stephen) Cimini of Mars, Pa.; a sister, Sally Rocco of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Stephanie Cimini.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ellen Lundie of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
