Donna Lee Knight
Donna was born on March 3, 1928, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, a daughter of John F. and Susann Giles Payne Cope.
She was the widow of the late Thomas Howard Knight, whom she married on Sept. 4, 1949, and they raised three children.
Donna had worked in the cafeteria for the Mohawk Area School District for 22 years. She then worked for the George Kuhn Co. as a bus monitor for the handicapped.
Donna was a wonderfully honest and forthright type of person; she was straight to the point, but fearless in her love for her family. An adventurous soul, Donna was not afraid of new experiences, whether it was riding a Harley or Clydesdale horse. But Donna's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her the most joy. She will be lovingly missed by each and every one of them
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Shery and Dennis Matey of New Springfield, Ohio, and Barbara and Andy Snyder of New Castle; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas (1981); daughter, Connie Ann (1951); son, Gary (1989); and sisters, Eva Lucille Roberts and Peggy Stief.
Family will have visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Nathan Leslie officiating.
Donna will be laid to rest in Graceland Cemetery in New Castle.
