Donna J. McKeever, 91, formerly of Decker Drive, passed away the morning of Oct. 14, 2017, at Jameson Care Center in New Castle.
Born May 19, 1926, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Paul and Margaret Conroy Smith.
She was preceded in death on Jan. 1, 1997, by her husband of 51 years, Walter J. McKeever, whom she married May 4, 1945.
Donna was a homemaker after her five-year employment at the Lawrence County Court House, where she was a court matron.
Among her many interests, she enjoyed painting and often did portraits for hire. She loved golf and was a member of various golf leagues.
Donna was a member of St. Camillus Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan A. Perry of Oviedo, Florida, Lori A. (Alan) Yoho and Jodi L. Pionati, all of New Castle; a daughter-in-law, Anita L. McKeever of New Castle; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Walter P. McKeever in 2017; a grandson, Mark Pionati; and two sisters, Katherine Kuhn and Ida Mae Gill.
There will be no calling hours.
Family and friends are asked to meet at St. Vitus Church on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m., where a Mass of Christian burial will be held with the Father Frank Almade officiating.
Burial will be in Castle View Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence County Special Olympics or to UPMC Family Hospice.
