Doris Jean McCummins, 78, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi.
She was a long time resident of Pass Christian, Mississippi, and was a native of New Castle, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. McCummins Sr; her parents, Robert and Margaret Willey; and her brother, Robert P. Willey Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Lizana (Matt); son, Robert J. McCummins Jr. (Christine); five grandchildren, Kristin Mate (Jeremy), Matthew Lizana, Katie Beatty (Brandon), Shannon McCummins and Brenna McCummins; four great-grandchildren, Colstin and Kelbie Mate, and Kristopher and Saydi Lizana; sister, Margie Willey; and her sister-in-law, Mary McCummins.
Mrs. McCummins loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed sports.
She has been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux, Mississippi, since 2006.
She owned Magnolia Cleaning and worked for Wee Ones Day Care.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Dunbar Village Nursing Home and Notre Dame Hospice.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pass Christian.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass.
Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Dunbar Village Nursing Home, Bay St. Louis, toward entertainment for the courtyard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian.

Margie and Doris.s family, It was sad news to see Doris"s obituary. I was remembering all the things we had done together when we were growing up.

I am so sorry to read of Doris' passing. We graduated from Laurel High School in 1958. I remember Doris as a very kind and friendly person. We will be celebrating our 60th reunion in sept and I will have her name read as one of our 14 classmates who have a passed. Again I am so sorry and you have my sypathy & prayers.
