Dorothy was born in Hillsville on July 2, 1935, a daughter of the late John and Anna Nocera Calabrese.
Dorothy was a class of 1954 graduate of Bessemer High School.
She had been employed for 24 years in the Mohawk High School cafeteria.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Church in Bessemer.
She was the loving wife of Dale W. Baker, whom he married on July 29, 1964. Dorothy was an adoring mother, grandmother and her family brought her the most joy.
She leaves behind her husband, Dale, of Bessemer; a son, Timothy R. Baker of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Denise (Carl) Ross of Cranberry Township; her grandchildren, Amanda E. Baker of Pittsburgh, Ashley (Brian) Opalach of Pittsburgh, Matt Ross and Lisa Rex, both of Baden, Pennsylvania, Eric Ross of Cranberry Township and Aurora Opalach of Pittsburgh; and a sister, Jenny Gadzia.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clifford Penwell; her brothers, Charles, Tony and Vincent Calabrese; and her sisters, Margaret Ricuiti, Jeanette Pacillo, Josephine Notareschi and Mary Nerone.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St., Bessemer.
Services for Dorothy are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
