Dorothy M. Gray, 94, of New Wilmington went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at The Grove at New Wilmington.
Born March 12, 1923, in Geneva, Ohio, she was a daughter of George and Adalaide Stimpson Jeppe.
Dorothy was preceded in death on Nov. 2, 1992, by her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles B. Gray, whom she married on June 5, 1942, while he was serving in the military.
She loved her family, her flowers and her family horse farm.
She was Baptist by faith and a longtime Sunday school teacher and faithful member of Sparklers of First Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and loving mother of two sons, Barry Gray of New Wilmington and Dennis Gray of Anderson, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Terry of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Cory of Portland, Oregon; three great-grandchildren, Griffin, Carly and Justin; and two sisters, Ruth Schraeder and Shirley Manthey, both of Geneva, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Raymond and Ralph; and a sister, Louise.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
