Dorothy Maggie, 84, formerly of Beckford Street, passed away the morning of June 22, 2017, at the Haven Convalescent Home.
Born on Aug. 12, 1932, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Panella DeSanti. She also was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Floyd Maggie, on July 25, 2000.
Dorothy had worked as a cashier for A&M Supermarket. She was a member of St. Vitus Church. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Joan Passalinqua of New Castle; grandchildren, Amanda Petricca and Heather Patterson; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald DeSanti Sr., and sister, Mary Lou DeSanti.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father Frank Almade. Interment will take place in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
