Eleanor's Story

Eleanor L. Kwiatkowski, 87, formerly of 825 Moffatt Road, passed away the evening of Friday, March 3, 2017, at the Haven Convalescent Home.
Eleanor was born on March 7, 1929, in New Castle. She was a daughter of the late Claude M. and Ethel V. Boyd Wagner.
Mrs. Kwiatkowski was married to Rudolph F. Kwiatkowski. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2005. They were married for 53 wonderful years.
Eleanor was of the Protestant faith and a lifelong member of Shenango Presbyterian Church.
She was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1947.
Mrs. Kwiatkowski will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother by her family.
Eleanor was an avid reader. She enjoyed bowling, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and playing cards.
Eleanor is survived by two daughters, Shirley J. (Michael) Klamer of New Castle and Barbara J. (Randal) Hogue of Monroe, North Carolina; three sons, Rudy A. (Robin) Kwiatkowski Sr. of New Castle, James L. Kwiatkowski of New Castle and Philip C. (Rhonda) Kwiatkowski of Waxhaw, North Carolina; a brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Wagner of New Castle; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rudolph, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Merle and James Wagner; and five sister, Joan Edgar, Helen Gilkey, Bernice Gibson, Virginia Glidden and Doris Glidden.
A private funeral and committal service was held Sunday at the Noga Funeral Home. The Rev. Amy Na officiated.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Shenango Presbyterian Church, 3144 Wilmington Road, New Castle, Pa. 16105.
