Elizabeth's Story

Text size

Elizabeth "Betty" Butera, 53, of Brighton Township entered into God's hands on Thursday, June 29, 2017, beside her loving husband, Warren.
She was a majorette and graduate of Ambridge Area High School.
It wasn't long after, that she met the love of her life.
In their 30 years of marriage, Betty and Warren epitomized true strength, faithfulness and an unwavering love.
Betty outshined as a mom to her six children: Anthony, Khaela, Emilee, Alexis, Sydnie and Vinny.
She was preceded in death by her parents and best friends, Silvio and Bertha McGinnis Maccaglia; her brother, Anthony; her nephew, Jeffrey Bauman; and her sister, Annette Konarski.
She is also survived by her brother, Jim (Sylvia) Maccaglia; her sisters, Michele (Rick) Costanza, Pat (Jim) Skonieczny, Mary Maccaglia and Lynn (Mike) Katekovich; her brother-in-laws, Stan Konarski; and Tony (Shelley) Maccaglia. Her kind soul and large heart will also be remembered by her 17 nieces, 14 nephews, and three godchildren.
Betty was an entrepreneur from a very young age, starting her own business with an outstanding nutroll recipe that people still talk about today.
Her unconditional love and devotion to care for others outside of family and friends evolved into her home-care agencies, Heart 2 Heart, and Hearts 2gether Homes.
She always cared for her "peeps" as family, and her legacy will continue in her honor.
Betty exuded love, compassion and kindness to every single person she met, and gave until she had nothing left to give.
She will remain the rock of her family, and her beauty inside and out, will continue to shine in all those who knew her.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA 15001.
Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Parish, 725 Glenwood Ave., Ambridge, PA 15003, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by her pastor, the Rev. Joe Carr. Everyone is asked to please meet at church.
Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Butera Foundation.
