Elizabeth B. McCullough


Elizabeth B. McCullough, 87, of North Beaver Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at her residence following an extended illness. Born on Aug. 28, 1931, on State Line Road in North Beaver Township, she was the daughter of the late Floyd W. and Mildred Coleman Byers. She was married to Leland S. McCullough Sr. for 57 years when he passed away in 2010.
Elizabeth graduated from Mt. Jackson High School in 1950. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She was a member of the Big Beaver Grange. Libby enjoyed woodworking and making bears. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and collecting glassware. Her most cherished time was spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Libby was an active member and former trustee of the Westfield Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Leland S."Stan" (Cindy) McCullough Jr. and David (Phyllis) McCullough, both of North Beaver Township; two daughters, Karen (Don) Gwin of North Beaver Township, Lori (Jim) Scott of Little Beaver Township; sister, Grace Paden of Sharpsville; 10 grandchildren, Mark, Matthew, Justin (Elizabeth) McCullough, Emily (Bryan) VanTassel, Katie (John) Myers, Will (Jessika) Scott, Alex (Abby) Scott, Todd (Megan) Glass, Leighann (Justin) Mitchell, Scott (Emily) Gwin; and 11 great-grandchildren, plus three more on the way.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Raymond Byers.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum. Friends will also be received Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Westfield Presbyterian Church. Her pastor, Rev. Dr. Mark Hughes will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
