Evelyn L. Sacripant, 98, passed away on Tuesday December 5, 2017 at Golden Hills Nursing Home.
Born May 24, 1919 in New Castle PA she was the daughter of Fredrico and Elvira (Guidugli) Sacripant.
A 1938 graduate of New Castle High School, after graduation she worked briefly for a dentist and then for many years was in charge of Payroll at Mooney Bros Supply Co. and Mooney Brothers Trucking Co. Later she worked at the Courthouse first in the Register and Recorders office, and then in the District Attorney's office from which she retired in1984.
After retirement she volunteered at her church and Jameson Hospital.
Evelyn belonged to Wimodausis, the Prime Timers, and was a lifelong member of Third Presbyterian Church and the True Blue Bible Class. She loved reading and going to the theatre.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith Mae (Samuel A.) Mooney, and Rose Marie (William O.) Mooney, and brothers Ralph Sacripant (Josie Mooney), and Julius Sacripant, nephews, Richard D. Mooney and Warren Mooney Sacripant, and niece Audrey Mooney Cullen.
Evelyn is survived by nephews, Randall O. Mooney. Wm. O. Mooney, Jr and Craig Mooney, nieces Elvi Ann Sacripant Frisbee and Kathleen Mooney, who visited often from California and managed her care from afar.
The family wishes to thank Mother Teresa Hospice, whose loving care eased her final months and days.
Her life will be celebrated by the family in July 2018.
