Geraldine G. Vascetti, 87, of Neshannock Township, passed away the afternoon of April 8, 2017, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born on July 2, 1929, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Clem and Florence DeLillo General. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Egidio (James) Vascetti, who she married on October 26, 1950.
In her earlier years, Geraldine worked for Strouss Department Store and Little Shop Clothing Store. She and her husband then owned Egidio's Restaurant and The Villa Banquet Center.
Geraldine was a member of St. Camillus Church. She enjoyed visiting casinos and playing scratch-off tickets, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Geraldine is survived by her children, Joseph Vascetti, Terri Cialella and companion James Pagley, and Jodi Ryhal and husband Richard, all of New Castle; sister, Anna Lou Parada of New Castle; grandchildren, Stacey Elias, Richard Ryhal, and Richard Cialella; and great-grandchildren, Maddox, Avery, and Colson Ryhal.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Vascetti-Elias, and sister, Virginia Jean Ross.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Road. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Camillus Church, officiated by Father Frank Mitolo. Entombment will take place in Parkside Mausoleum.
