James Edwin Evans, 75, passed away July 19, 2017, at his residence in New Castle.
He was born in May 17, 1942, to the Floyd Evans and Evelyn Eaton Evans.
James served in the United States Air Force in the 1960s. In 2010, he received a citation honoring the veterans who served during the Vietnam conflict.
James worked as an Electrical Engineer in the field of satellite communications for many years.
He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Guillot (Jean-Manuel) Guillot of Kingwood, W.Va., and Deanna Schwilke (Ray) of East Wenatchee, Wash.; his grandchildren, Brandon Johanson, Nicholas Johanson, Alyssa Guillot, Haily Guillot and Heath Guillot; a sister, Ruth Ann Krawchyk; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to both parents, James was preceded in death by his sisters, Marilyn Koch and Delores McCoy, and a son-in-law, Edward Johanson.
A graveside service will be held at Grove Cemetery in New Brighton on Aug. 7, 2017, at 11 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been made by Rotruck and Lobb Funeral Home in Kingwood, W.Va., and by niece, Dawn Sepulveda Walsh and her husband Pete.
