James G. Fedor, 27, of 523 Sampson Street, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his residence.
James was born Sept. 7, 1990, in New Castle. He was a son of George D. Fedor and Ingrid A. Reiter Jaworsky. They both survive at home.
Following high school, James enlisted in Army on Feb. 16, 2010, in Pittsburgh. Mr. Fedor served his country during the Iraq War. He earned the rank of E2 and was a member of the Combat Engineers in Fort Hood, Texas.
Mr. Fedor received many decorations and citations; among them where the Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star and Army Service Ribbon, Mr. Fedor was honorably discharged on June 6, 2013, at Fort Hood, Texas.
James was very artistic and loved to draw. He enjoyed going to the firing range, fishing and playing video games. He always wanted to fly helicopters.
In addition to his parents, James is survived by his brother, Eric Jaworsky of New Castle; and his sister, Amanda L. Fedor of New Castle.
Mr. Fedor was preceded in death by his uncle, Thomas Reiter.
A private service was held at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle. The New Castle Area Honor Guard performed full military rites at the funeral home with the Rev. William Shaffer of the New Castle Area Honor Guard officiating.
Burial will be at later date.
