James Weller

August 28, 1944 - January 26, 2019

James Weller James Lowell Weller, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 26, 2019, at his residence in North Beaver Township. He was born in New Castle on Aug. 28, 1944, son of the late Floyd and Juva Ann Reed Weller.
Everyone called him "Lowell."
Lowell attended Mohawk High but decided to go into the family business and assisted his father in running the local sawmill and coal delivery business.
He considered himself a local historian and was always willing to share many unknown facts about the lives and activities of the community. He enjoyed visiting local gathering spots and trips to Cleveland to visit his sister, Lois.
Lowell is survived by his sister, Lois Weller of Parma Heights, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Dale Weller.
Services for Lowell will be held at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St., Bessemer at noon on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. Lois will receive friends an hour prior to the service, and Lowell will be laid to rest in the Westfield Presbyterian Cemetery with his mom and dad.
