Jason E. Lemmon, 40, of Union Township passed away the morning of Dec. 8, 2017, in Sharon, Pa.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1977, in New Castle. Jason is survived by his parents, Keith and Bonnie Hilke Lemmon of New Castle. He also is survived by his beloved wife, the former April M. Kordish, whom he married on Sept. 19, 2009.
Jason had worked as a product manager for R.W. Cox Garage Door Systems for 20 years. He was a member of St. Vitus Church.
A 1996 graduate of New Castle High School, Jason lettered in baseball and was an All-Star Pitcher. He coached girls softball for Union Little League.
Known as a jack of all trades, Jason loved to make and fix things and enjoyed woodworking. He cherished every moment he spent with his family, especially his children. Jason will always be remembered as a devoted father, husband, son and brother who had a unique sense of humor and a big, loving heart. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jason is survived by his children, Kaylee Lemmon, Allyson Lemmon, Britney Lemmon, Gianna Trott, Jason E. Lemmon Jr. and Ryan Lemmon, all of New Castle; brother, Bryan Lemmon and companion Ashley Roberts of New Castle; and mother- and father-in-law, Barbara and Chuck Kordish of New Castle.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vitus Church, officiated by Father William Siple.
