Jason Morrell McKnight, 37, of Richlieu Avenue died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle.
He was born Oct. 10, 1980, in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late Tony Morrell and Katie McKnight. His mother survives in New Castle.
Mr. McKnight was an avid football fan, Baltimore Ravens fan and Michael Jackson fan.
He loved his kids and will be remembered as a family man, who was passionate and had a kind heart.
He is survived by his loving companion, Jennifer Austin; five children, Tatiaynna Austin, Jamiya Austin, Noel McKnight, Niala McKnight and Egypt McKnight, all of New Castle; two brothers, Randy Boone of Pittsburgh and Cody Mcallister of New Castle; three sisters, Trina McKnight, Nena McKnight, and Michelle McKnight, all of Baltimore; six nieces and nephews, Kibreya McKnight, Kayla McKnight, Vasshawn Whitby, Jordan McKnight, Autturo McCullegan and Jala McKnight; and a great-nephew, Maliji.
Family and friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Pastor Richard Rue will be officiating.
