CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio Jean A. McNicholas, 85, passed away July 8, 2018.
She was born in New Castle, Pa., and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 63 years.
She was a 1951 graduate of New Castle High School.
Jean was active in the Presbyterian Church, where she served as elder, deacon, trustee and youth adviser at the United Presbyterian Church and Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Falls Women's Club, PEO, the Speaker's Bureau for the Hattie Larlham Foundation.
Jean was a talented artist, quilter, musician and an avid reader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Eleanor Boalick, and husband, John T. "Jack."
She is survived by her sons, John (Elisabeth), Jason Bradley (Leanne) and James T.; grandchildren, Megan (Joe), Kyle, Allie (Bob), Erin, Megan and Logan; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Riley; brother, H. Russell (Susan) Boalick; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 104 W. Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.
In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
