John A. Proudfoot, 89, formerly of New Castle passed away the morning of Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Greenbriar Healthcare Center in Boardman, Ohio.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, on Feb. 2, 1928, he was a son of Byron and Martha Arkwright Proudfoot.
He was employed as a mounter and truck driver at Westinghouse.
Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda (Ron) McKee of New Castle, Linda Clements of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Lisa (Rob) Pagani of Monaca; a son, John (Marie) Proudfoot of Titusville, Florida; two brothers, Thomas Proudfoot of Florida and Theodore Proudfoot of Arizona; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Edward and Gene Proudfoot; and a sister, Josephine Irwin.
In keeping with Mr. Proudfoot's wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Wilmington Road, New Castle.
