Joseph's Story

Joseph E. Brincko Jr., 86, of 405 W. Clayton St. passed away the evening of Aug. 22, 2017, at Lawrence County Geri Care.
Joseph was born May 27, 1931, in New Castle. He was the son of the late Joseph E. and Susan Pataki Brincko Sr. Mr. Brincko was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Joseph attended New Castle High School.
Mr. Brincko enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. He retired after numerous years of service at the former Youngstown Sheet and Tube, which became LTV Steel in Youngstown as a Steelworker/Automation Machinery. Mr. Brincko enjoyed watching professional sports. Joseph loved to travel and often took his nieces and nephews with him. He was a member of the Slovak Club, Polish Falcons Nest 146, and the St. Marguerite Society.
Joseph is survived by three nieces and nephews, James J. (Terry) Bobosky of New Castle, Karen S. Bobosky of New Castle and Richard J. Bobosky of Mercer, Pa.; and three great-nieces and great-nephews, Angela Bobosky, Amanda Bobosky and Luke Bobosky.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; brother, Robert Brincko; and sister, Mary Bobosky.
Calling hours will be held 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday for St. Vincent de Paul Parish, where a Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. The Rev. Zachery Galiyas, parochial vicar of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, will officiate.
