Events

Joseph M. Pupinak, 54, of Hillsville passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday morning, Feb. 5, 2019, at his residence.
Joe was born Feb. 5, 1965, in New Castle, to the late Frank and Evalyn (Poliwka) Pupinak.
A lifelong area resident, he was a 1983 graduate of Union High School.
Joseph served in the Army from April 6, 1984, to Sept. 5, 1986, serving most of his time in Germany.

Joe was a gifted handyman with a great knowledge of mechanics. He was always there for everyone and would help anybody. Joe could build a house, plumb it, wire it and then cook dinner.
A faith-driven and giving man, Joe always had a smile on his face and a joke in his pocket. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, music and, most of all, cars.
Surviving is his sister, Frances Lastoria, and his brother-in-law, Kevin of New Castle. He will be sadly missed by Audrey and Alijah.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his fiancee, Tammy Ritenour.

A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, conducted by Chaplain Bill Beck of Motor Racing Outreach.
