Lena 'Becky''s Story
Lena "Becky" Milton, 88, of Tanglewood Road, Pulaski, died on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Golden Hills Nursing Home, New Castle.
She was born in Pulaski on April 22, 1929, to Charles R and Gladys Gearhart Simpson.
She married Vincent P "Ben" Milton on April 4, 1947, and they shared 67 years together.
Becky was a graduate of Union High School and a member of Pulaski United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir.
She was a member of the Snappy Dragon Garden Club and the Red Hats. She also was a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, as well as a 4H leader.
Becky spent her winters in Apollo Beach, Florida.
Survivors include three sons, Rodney (Peg) Milton of New Bedford, Vincent Milton of Pulaski and Troy (Tammy) Milton of Eastbrook; two daughters, Jody (Bruce) Clingan of Pulaski and Haza Milton of Mercer; a brother, Lewis "Pete" (Peg) Simpson of Pulaski; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Simpson.
The family would like to thank Golden Hills and Three Rivers Hospice for the love and care given to their mother during the final days of her life.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at the Pulaski United Methodist Church. The Rev. Rebecca Rosengarth will officiate.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 19, at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Smith Funeral Home of New Wilmington.
