Linda K. Fowler Quear, 71, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at VNA in Butler after a brief illness. She entered into rest peacefully with her loved ones at her side.
Linda was born in New Castle on October 26, 1945, to James S. and Thelma R. (Reed) Fowler.
She was a 1963 graduate of New Castle High School and soon after began her lifelong career as a secretary with Castle Maintenance Products.
Linda will forever be remembered as an amazing, strong, loving woman. A fiery spirit with a gentle soul. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed gardening, watching birds at her feeder, listening to Elvis, tending to her flowers, drinking her coffee, and spending time with her family.
Linda will be greatly missed by her sister, Sondra L. (Richard) Salmen of New Castle; her son, Michael J. Owrey of New Castle; her daughter, Lori A. (Owrey) Jackson of Bessemer; her grandsons, Cody A. Jackson (Aislinn M. McConnell) and Noah E. Jackson, also of Bessemer; and her granddaughter, Emily S. Jackson (Lee J. Griffis) of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, Linda was reunited with her husband, J. Howard Quear of New Castle, and the father of her children and husband, Robert E. Owrey of New Castle.
In lieu of a funeral, we invite family and friends, near and far, to join us in a celebration of her life on Sunday, July 30, between 2 and 7p.m. at Mohawk Campus of First Assembly of God, 209 Hillsville Road, Bessemer.
