Lois Ina Marvin, 92, of North Beaver Township passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, in New Castle.
Lois was born in New Castle on April 4, 1924, a daughter of the late William and Gertrude Steele Curry.
A 1942 graduate of New Castle High School, she went on to marry Duane Clifford Marvin on Aug. 22, 1953. He preceded her in death.
Lois worked as a designer at the former Shenango Pottery for 11 years.
She was a member of the Bessemer Homemakers, was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed crafts of many styles.
She was a member, elder and deacon of Mount Jackson Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Daniel (Trudy) Marvin of Independence, Ohio; her daughter, Nancy Lynn (Dale) Witherspoon of Summersville, Florida; and her sister, Vera "Vickie" White of Castlewood, Pennsylvania.
Besides her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Harper.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Jackson Presbyterian Church, under the direction of the Rev. Steve Plyler.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Lois will be buried in Mount Jackson Presbyterian Cemetery on Friday.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home of Bessemer.
