Lucille N. Badger Lucille Natalina "Lena" Badger passed away on Feb. 12, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born Dec. 25, 1939, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni Sr. and Maria Piscitelli Armino.
Lena was a graduate of New Castle High School and a lifelong member of St. Vitus Church.
She retired from CVS Pharmacy after 13 ½ years of service.
She was a Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins and Notre Dame fan.
She loved cooking for her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed monthly social events with her dearest friends.
Being devoted to her faith, she found time to volunteer at the annual St. Vitus Festival and was a member of the St. Vitus Ladies Guild.
She married Glenn W. Badger on Sept. 12, 1959. He survives. Together, they had two loving children, Robert (Melinda) Badger and her favorite daughter, Natalie, both of whom survive. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Matthew and Joseph, whom she adored tremendously.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph and Giovanni "John" Armino, and a sister, Anna Rose Moss.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for St. Vitus Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. William Siple.
Interment will take place in St. Vitus Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Lucille may be made to St. Vitus Church, 910 S. Mercer St., New Castle, Pa. 16101.
