Lucy A. Tranquillo Lucy A. Tranquillo, 96, of New Castle passed in the early morning hours of Feb. 13, 2019, at Golden Hill Nursing Home.
Lucy was born Feb. 25, 1922, in New Castle to the late Charles and Stella D. Gray Padula.
She graduated in 1940 from New Castle High School.
She was of the Roman Catholic faith and attended St. Vitus Parish.
Mrs. Tranquillo worked at the former Shenango Pottery as a liner, as a waitress at the former Isaly's, and then retiring after several years as a housekeeper at Jameson Hospital.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling and fishing trips to Canada with her extended family, as well as family dinners, playing cards and board games.
Lucy married Dominick Micco on Oct. 23, 1946. They were married for 28 years until his death in 1974. Lucy then married Salvatore "Sam" Tranquillo on Jan. 7, 1989. They were married for 28 years until his death in 2017.
Lucy is survived by four sons, Robert D. (Tammy) Micco of Phoenix, Arizona, Anthony (Peggy) Micco of New Castle, Dominick (Anna Marie) Micco of Hermitage and Gerald Micco of Cranberry Township; sister, Carrie Marguerite of Florida; as well as 10 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Lucy was preceded in death by her son, Donald J. Micco; brothers, George, Nick and Robert Padula; and sisters, Lena DeSalvo, Angie Ross and Ann Ross.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A Blessing service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Deacon Dan Kielar will officiate.
Entombment will be at Graceland Cemetery.

Lucy you were a second mother to me when Jerry and I became friends in high school. Your door and your heart were always open to me and our departed friend Mike Banko. You always made us smile. A true gift. RIP
