Margaret L. Price, 87, formerly of Castlewood, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, at the Avalon Nursing Center.
A lifelong area resident, Peg was born May 9, 1930, on Harmony Baptist Road in Castlewood, a daughter of the late Robert and Lula Lutz Newton.
She was married for 69 years to Keith E. Price as they were married June 19, 1948. He survives.
Peg graduated from Shenango High School in 1948.
She was an active member of the Center United Presbyterian Church. She was also active with the Cub Scouts and TOPS. She enjoyed traveling with the Laurel Travel Club.
She cherished time cooking and baking for her family.
In addition to her husband, Keith, survivors include two sons, Timothy (Judy) Price of Kent, Ohio, and Mark (Debbie) Price of Ellwood City; a daughter, Cindy Means of Hermitage; a sister, Lois (Charles) Sari of Ellwood City; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Keith; and siblings, James and Robert M. Newton and Dorothy Bell Newton Black.
Visiting hours will be noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave., Ellwood City.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Her pastor, the Rev. James Bibza, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Center Church Cemetery.
