Marjorie Grace Bovard Hunt, 97, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital.
Marjorie was born May 2, 1922, in New Castle to the late J. Frank and Marjorie Marsteller Bovard.
She was a faithful member of Westwood Christian Church and was a former member of Old Orchard Christian Church.
She loved her family and was called Nanny Hunt by all children who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Brown Hunt; a brother, John Bovard; two sisters, Armathea Smith and Jean Burns; and two sons-in-law, David Michael Dix and Ron Johnston.
She leaves behind two loving sons, David Hunt of Canon City, Colorado, and Scott Hunt (Carla) of Ashland; two daughters, Marion Dix of Ashland and Linda Johnston of Evansville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Eric Johnston (Courtney), Chris Johnston and Cassandra Jean Geeta Hunt; and a dear friend, who she considered as another son, Dwayne Taylor (LeeAnn); along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood-Ashland, Kentucky, with Mike Hannon, minister, officiating.
Visitation was held on Tuesday.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2019, at Slippery Rock Cemetery in Slippery Rock.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Smith Funeral Home of Slippery Rock.
