Martin H. Blissmer Martin H. Blissmer, 74, of North Beaver Township passed away the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at his residence.
Martin was born in Gary, Indiana, on Dec. 6, 1944, a son of the late Fred and Victoria Binkowski Blissmer.
Martin graduated from Merriville High school.
He married Joanne H. Langford on Aug. 8, 1970, and she survives at home.
Marty, as he was affectionately known, had worked in security for Ellwood City Forge for 35 years.
He was a Navy veteran.
Marty had a passion for cars, and he and Joanne were once members of the Rapid Tappets Car Club. Marty enjoyed car shows live and on the television. He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, but his family was his greatest treasure.
Marty is survived by his wife, Joanne; his son, Brandon Lee at home; his brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Charmaine Blissmer of Fort Myers, Florida; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Theodore Joseph Blissmer.
Visitation is scheduled for 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St., Bessemer, Pa. 16112.
Private services will be held for Marty.
Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.

Joanne, we are thinking of you and your family at this time. Marty always had a wave for us across the yard. We will miss seeing him and kidding him about not getting his car out of the garage more than once a year for a drive. Paul and I will always carry fond memories of Marty.
