Max Rossi

November 15, 1966 - October 20, 2018

Max Rossi, 51, a native of New Castle and resident of Ellwood City, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, while under hospice care for cancer at his brother's home in Stuart, Fla.
Born Nov. 15, 1966, to David and Rita (Felice) Rossi, he grew up in New Castle.
He graduated from New Castle High School and received a degree in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh.
After graduating from the university, Max spent several years working for various nonprofit organizations. He then pursued his interest in antiques and collectibles by opening a consignment shop in Irwin, Pa. In order to expand his business, Max went back to school and became a licensed auctioneer. He subsequently closed the consignment shop to start Sparmill Trading Co., which focused on estate sales.
Max was an avid reader and supporter of the Ellwood City Library.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Rita (Felice) Rossi, and his brother, David A. Rossi Jr.
He is survived by his brother, Marc A. Rossi of Stuart, Fla.; his two nieces, Marilyn Simulescu of Durant, Okla., and Nicole Jarrell of Nolansville, Tenn.; four great-nieces; and a great-nephew.
Max donated his body to medical science and requested no services or memorial be performed.
Donations may be made in his name to the Treasure Coast Hospice of Stuart, Fla.
