Michael A. Benegasi Jr., 37, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of November 29, 2017.
He was born on February 20, 1980 in New Castle. He is survived by his parents, Michael Sr. and Sharon Miller Benegasi. He also is survived by his significant other, Nicole Villani.
Michael had worked as a mixer for New Castle Refractories. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church. An avid outdoorsman, Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked working on cars, jet skiing, and watching sports, especially football, the Dallas Cowboys, and Pittsburgh Pirates.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his children, Antonio Benegasi of Ellwood City, PA and Michayla Villani of New Castle, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Ann Miller, paternal grandparents, John and Anne Benegasi, and uncle and godfather, Mark Kirkwood Sr.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home Saturday at 12:30pm to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00pm at St. Vincent de Paul Church, officiated by Father Zachary Galiyas.
Interment will take place in St. Lucy Cemetery.
