Mildred C. Dudo, 91, formerly of 2433 Willowhurst Circle and Vista South, passed away the evening of the April 5, 2017, at the Avalon Nursing Home.
Mildred was born April 4, 1926, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Julia Dawson Korab. Mrs. Dudo was married to the late Albert T. Dudo. He preceded her in death in July 1995. They were married for 48 wonderful years. Mildred was a life member of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church in New Castle.
Mrs. Dudo will be remembered by her family as a loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mildred was very proud to be co-owner, along with her husband Albert, of the former Dari-Delite on Moravia Street. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan and loved playing bingo with her friends. Mildred enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by two daughters, Cheryl A. (Michael) Glenn of Mineral Wells, Texas, and Carol L. (James) Rice of Perrin, Texas; son, Allen T. (Michelle) Dudo of New Castle; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband Albert, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Daniel, Joseph, Edward, John, Ted and Walter Korab; five sisters, Alberta Koprivnak, Mary Iwanejko, Anna Gurgacz, Lenora Kendra and Clara Young.
Calling hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St., New Castle.
A Blessing Service will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Saturday following visitation in the funeral home. The Rev. Bruce Sleczkowski, pastor of Holy Family Parish of McKeesport, Pa., will officiate.
