Naomi Mae Puffer, 87, of New Castle passed away the evening of Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born on Sept. 7, 1930, in Poland, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Leonard L. and Opal Paine Flick.
Naomi had worked as a cashier for Kroger's Market.
She enjoyed reading and being with her family. Naomi also loved getting together with the girls that she worked with at Kroger's.
Naomi is survived by her children, Terry Black and wife, Sheri, of New Castle, Karen Basler and husband, Hans, of Littleton, Colorado, Coleen Nader of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and Kathy Brennaman and husband, Kevin, of New Castle; seven stepchildren; sisters, Nancy Mullen of Alabama and Joyce Haskel of New Castle; former husband, Phillip Black of Youngstown, Ohio; seven grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Sankey and Herbert Puffer; brothers, Jim and Jay Flick; and sister, Caroline Gardner.
Honoring her wishes, there are no calling hours or services planned.
Interment will take place in Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi, Michigan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
