Paul N. Phillips, 83, of Edinburg, Pa., passed away the evening of Jan. 14, 2018, at his residence.
Born on Nov. 11, 1934, in Steubenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl and Sarah Bowman Phillips. He also was preceded in death by his wife, the former Jane Agee, who passed away on June 25, 2010.
After 39 years, Paul retired as the electrical supervisor for Ohio Edison. He enjoyed attending New Castle Bible Church.
In his earlier years, Paul was an avid hunter, and he also liked to camp and fish. Paul loved to attend antique shows, especially to find steam tractors and engines.
Paul is survived by his children, Dan Phillips and wife Shirley and Sandra Schooley and husband Daniel, all of Edinburg; brothers, Edward Phillips of Edinburg and David Phillips of New Castle; sister, Sarah Phillips of Pulaski; and granddaughter, Danielle M. Phillips.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Danielle Kennedy.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at New Castle Bible Church, 2762 W. State St. Services will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. at the church, officiated by Pastor Max Bungard.
Interment will take place in Mahoning Presbyterian Cemetery.
