Rachael C. Pagley, 77, of New Castle passed away the morning of Jan. 20, 2018, at her residence.
Rachael was born June 19, 1940, in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Dominick and Rachael Perrotta Pagley, and lovingly raised by Lucy Cangey Pagley.
Mrs. Pagley was Roman Catholic and a member of St. Vitus Parish. She was a graduate of New Castle High School, class of 1958.
Rachael worked as a banquet coordinator at the former Troggio's Restaurant. She also worked as an answering service operator for many years at the former Allied Answering Service.
Rachael will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister to her family. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family, especially her grandchildren. Rachael was known for her cut-out cookies she baked for family and friends. She was affectionately known by all as Mrs. D.
Rachael is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lucia J. (Thomas) Doran of New Castle; her son and daughter-in-law, Al D. (Stacy) DeCarbo of New Castle; brother and sister-in-law, Paul (Joyce) Pagley of New Castle; sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Charles) Oakley of Bethel Park, Pa.; three grandchildren, Tom Doran, Rachael Doran and Alayna DeCarbo; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominick, Rachael and Lucy Pagley, and two sisters, Ester Stevens and Rosemary Flanagan.
Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at the Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St.
A procession will leave the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. for St. Vitus Parish, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Rev. William P.
