Robert Paul Huston

Robert Paul Huston, 91, passed away peacefully November 2, 2018 in Good Samaritan Hospice of Beaver, PA.

Robert was born March 17, 1927 in Mt. Jackson, PA, to the late Frank and Dorothy Huston. He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jean Louise Mibuck Huston, his son Kirk Huston, his sister Helen Derringer and his brother Galen Huston. He is survived by his children Bobbi Redelman, Jany Miller (Calvin), David Huston, Dori Barr (Wally) and his brother Donald Huston of Williamsburg, Va. He also has 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He has lived in Ohio, Georgia and returned in his later years to PA. He served in the Army Air Corp after World War II. Past occupations include Hoover sales, heavy equipment operator, Amway associate, foreman for IMS and resident apartment manager.

Bob had many interests including wood burning, ceramics, and making jewelry, stained glass art, and kaleidoscopes. He was an avid reader and researcher in the areas of Biblical prophecy and archeology. He also enjoyed camping, sailing, archery and golfing.

He lived an exemplary life of devotion to God, family and friends using his creative spirit and leadership in Sunday school, youth group, eldership, church plants and evangelistic activities. He welcomed international students and missionaries into his home and enjoyed congregant visitation.

His life experiences led him to begin a storytelling ministry called Grandpa Rocks and he authored a book by the same title. As a writer and storyteller, with a twinkle in his eye, he often said, "Some of this story is true and some of it's not, it's up to you to decide." The truth is Bob was the real deal.

As he passes on to heaven, He knows that his Lord and Savior await him, his final reward resting in the arms of Jesus.
