Robert W. "Bear" Poulton, 64, of New Castle passed away the morning of Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at his home.
Born Oct. 4, 1953, in New Castle, he was a son of Eugene Harrold Poulton and Gertrude Irene Hitchcock Poulton Uber.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beverly Moore Poulton, whom he married on Aug. 20, 1973.
After his graduation in 1972 from New Castle High School, he received his degree from Youngstown State University.
Bob was employed in sales for 30 years with United Steel Service in Masury, Ohio. He then worked for Metals USA for another six years.
He was a member of the Pennsylvania Club (fishing club) and was a coach for youth hockey and girls softball. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed golfing. He was an avid Ohio State football fan.
He attended First Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sarah (Ben) Keeler of Canfield, Ohio; a son, Stephen R. (Amanda) Poulton of New Castle; two brothers, Jeffery D. Poulton of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Thomas R. Poulton of Westerville, Ohio; a sister, Lynda Prosser of Ft. Myers, Florida; and two grandchildren, Giada Poulton and Ryan Keeler.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A private service will follow at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Ron Eade officiating.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
