Robin R. Cook Robin Renee Cook, 43, of West Pittsburg Road died Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh due to complications of the flu.
Born Jan. 8, 1976, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Anthony and Kathleen (Vanasky) Cook. Her parents survive in New Castle.
Robin loved working and being with kids. She was an animal lover, who also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family, especially her nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Wendy L. Leitera, and her husband, Michael, of New Castle; and three nephews, Michael, Gennaro and Lucian Leitera, all of New Castle.
Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave.
Blessing services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Deacon John Carran will be officiating. Online condolences may be offered at

I was so very sad to hear about Robin's passing. I can only imagine the pain and emotion your family is experiencing. I remember our wonderful fun times in dance class and in school. My deepest sympathy for your Family during this sad time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Robin was such a wonderful woman and she was always so bubbly! I loved chatting with her about her garden, cooking and hearing about how much she loved her nephews. I can't even begin to express how saddened I am. Sending her family my deepest condolences and prayers during this very difficult time.
