Roger Duncan Rodgers, 61, Plain Grove Road, Volant, Pa., died at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, on Sunday morning, Sept. 17, 2017.
Born in New Castle on Oct. 22, 1955, to Donald C. and Dolores Duncan Rodgers, he married Sandy Marie Hardt. She survives at the residence.
Roger was of the Protestant faith. He graduated from Laurel High School and loved the outdoors. His greatest joy was his family. He lived with an open heart, a gentle kindness and a joyous disposition.
He was employed at North Country Brewing Company in Slippery Rock.
Survivors include his wife of the residence; his mother of New Castle; two daughters, Lisa Emery of Plain Grove and Jessica (Jesse) Williams of Erie; one son, Chad A. (Lindsay) Rodgers of Austin, Texas; one sister: Rhonda Rodgers of New Castle; two brothers, Clyde (Donna) Rodgers of New Castle and Michael Rodgers of Sharon; and seven grandchildren.
Roger was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jerry Rodgers.
Visitation is Tuesday (9-19-2017) from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Lewis officiating.
