Our best wishes to the family. Russ was a wonderful school administrator. Fond memories of working with him as a youth, his visits to my father Phil Phelps and friendship with Austin Cowmeadow. As generational leadership passes on to the next, we can only hope that the values of leaders like Russ pass with them. Russ passed on my fathers birthday, we can only hope they are running great schools in the afterlife.

So sorry to read of your father’s transition . Our paths crossed more than 50 years ago. We served together on the Child Welfare Advisory Board for many years .Upon the completion of my teacher certification , he asked if I wanted a job. Her gave me my
first and only job. He was a very kind and gentle man that cared about the future of children. May he rest in PEACE.
